EirGen closes Business Expansion Scheme

EirGen Pharma Ltd. has now closed the 2005 Business Expansion Scheme investment, which allows those in the PAYE sector in Ireland to avail of a tax efficient investment vehicle. The BES was fully subscribed and a total of €500,000 was raised. The BES is the Scheme of Relief for Investment in Corporate Trades as provided for in Part 16 of the Tax Consolidation Acts 1997. It enables individuals to deduct the cost of their qualifying investment from their total income for income tax purposes, thereby obtaining relief at their highest marginal rate of tax.
