EirGen Founders win National Award

The promoters of EirGen Pharma recently won the MBA Association of Ireland Achievement of Excellence Award for 2005. In presenting the Award, Denis McCarthy, CEO of the MBA Association of Ireland said, “This is an annual award for those who have completed an MBA qualification and who have applied what they learned to a practical business application. You just can’t get more practical than setting up your own company and I’m delighted that Patsy Carney and Tom Brennan have taken the entrepreneurial leap and have formed EirGen Pharma.”

Carney and Brennan graduated from the UL corporate MBA programme in December 2005 and Prof. Patricia Fleming, Programme Director, commented, “EirGen is a fine example of translating business planning into reality and we look forward to many more start-ups coming from the MBA programme.”
